Kaspersky recommends users of leaked VPN data change passwords

MOSCOW, Jul 20 (PRIME) – The users of free VPN services whose data were leaked should change passwords quickly, Denis Legezo, a cybersecurity expert at antivirus maker Kaspersky, told PRIME on Monday.

Media reported earlier that data of more than 20 million users of UFO VPN, Fast VPN, Free VPN, Super VPN, Flash VPN, Secure VPN, and Rabbit VPN were compromised, and an unprotected server keeps 1.2 TB of information.

“We recommend the users of the services change passwords, which leaked into the base, on any online floor, if such passwords were used somewhere else as soon as possible,” Legezo said.

He added that the leak was detected several days ago and all the services belong to one developer.
